Use case
Voice notes to tasks on Mac
Most dictation apps stop when the text appears. The real failure mode is a week later: twenty fragments, no context, nothing moving. OneMax is built for that second problem.
The workflow
1. Capture where you already are
Press a global shortcut and speak in Mail, Cursor, Slack, Notes — anywhere on your Mac. Cleaned-up text lands at the cursor. The same note also syncs to your cloud notebook.
2. Let related notes become one topic
A product idea on Monday, a customer call on Wednesday, and a half-built plan on Friday should not live as three orphan files. OneMax groups related notes into ongoing topics so context accumulates.
3. Leave with next steps
From a topic, OneMax surfaces the open questions and breaks the work into concrete next steps. As you add more notes, the analysis updates instead of going stale.
Who this is for
- Founders and solo operators who think out loud between meetings
- Creators who capture ideas on a walk and need them to become a publishable plan
- People who already dictate into ChatGPT / Claude / Cursor and want the trail to stay organized
What OneMax is not
- Not an offline / on-device-only dictation app — transcription runs in the cloud.
- Not “another dictation clone.” If you only need speak → text, Wispr Flow or Superwhisper may be enough.
- Not unlimited audio. Free is 8,000 words/week. Pro has no weekly cap, with fair use up to 4 hours/day.
Pricing, simply
Free: 8,000 words/week. Pro: $30/month, or $300/year ($25/month billed annually). New accounts get a 7-day Pro trial with no credit card. Full refund within 14 days of any payment.
